This guide, assembled by the National Network for Safe Communities was developed to support communities implementing the Group Violence Intervention (GVI) crime control strategy. GVI reduces violent crime when community members join together with law enforcement and social service providers to deliver an anti-violence message to highly active street groups. The National Network recommends that practitioners use the guide to ensure that all the strategic elements are in place, tailoring their execution to the local resources and personnel available.
